The bible says: “The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.” Luke 6:45
If there is one skill the non-believer has honed to perfection, it is the ability to sniff out hypocrites. There is no way to hide the fact that you don’t practice what you preach. As they used to say a few generations ago: “The proof is in the pudding.” We Christians are supposed to be living our lives in such a loving, forgiving, and caring way that others will see Christ’s love shining from within you.
Take the time today to examine yourself. I often go to the quote below and let it be a watchman to make me aware of when I am falling short in my life.
Here is what C.S. Lewis says about the subject:
“Surely what a man does when he is taken off his guard is the best evidence for what sort of man he is.”
― C.S. Lewis
Enjoy your day today and live authentically!
