A Person’s Ultimate Good

“Love is not affectionate feeling, but a steady wish for the loved person’s ultimate good as far as it can be obtained.” ― C.S. Lewis

God is Love(1 John 4:18). That word love is used 551 times time in the ESV bible.

It seems to be a HUGE message that God is trying to get across to us.

Jesus was once asked  what the greatest commandment is and He replied: “And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.(Mat 22:37,38 ESV).

So what is the ultimate good we can do for another person? It is to love them….and love them like yourself; putting them first and making another person a priority in your life.

Be a blessing to others today and get out there and love someone like yourself!

God bless you all,

The Great Plains Poet
